Module 3 – ELECTRIC AND AUTOMATION GENERAL – PRINCIPLES & RULES

Next Training Day - Module 3 – is on March 21th in Forum Marinum, Linnankatu 72, 20100 Turku. The content is following: 

Content
- A brief introduction to theories, concepts, models and principles or design assessments, a sample of relevant international regulatory information ; Norwegian regulations & standards, DNV rules / service specifications/ standards and other instruments; How to find rules/standards. SHE (Safety&Health&Environment) in risk management.
- Basic concept of electric systems
- Electrical equipment and the function
- General principles and requirements
- Instrumentation and control systems
- Emergency source of power
- Specifically examples about differences between ships and offshore units.
- Electrical equipment and cabling installation issues, practical examples
- Installations in gas dangerous areas, concept of safe/hazardous areas
- Relevant additional class notations, for example DYNPOS-AUTR/AUTRO

Objective
- Upon completion of this course the participants will understand what are Rules and regulations, electrical systems in principle, alarm & control system and instrumentation in principle, etc.

The Modules 4-6 are held during the spring 2013.

Training fee is 200€ (+VAT)/person/module. The fee includes training day, material, lunch and morning & afternoon coffee.
