The SAge-hub - Smart Ageing Synergies

The SAge-hub project (Smart Ageing Synergies: Strengthening Interregional Innovation through Living Labs and Digital Hubs) aims to develop and scale up Smart Ageing solutions across six European regions: Romania, Greece, Portugal, the Canary Islands, Finland and Catalonia.

The project is building a strong ecosystem that brings together SMEs, public sector organisations, research institutions and regional innovation hubs. At the heart of the project are Living Lab environments, where solutions are developed, tested and validated together with end users. This helps ensure that technologies address real needs and support active and healthy ageing.

SAge-hub strengthens regional value networks, supports the digital transformation of SMEs and creates new business opportunities. The project will also establish a network of Innovation Ambassadors to promote international cooperation and connect local stakeholders with European partners.

The uptake and wider use of project results will be supported through workshops, webinars and cooperation with European networks, including Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), the European Network of Living Labs (ENoLL) and Smart Specialisation Strategies (S3).

The project will also develop an investment pipeline to connect promising solutions with investors and support their scaling and expansion across Europe.
