Green Growth for Micro and Small Enterprises

The Green Growth for Micro and Small Enterprises project provides practical information for businesses in rural and sparsely populated areas about what the green transition means and how companies can take their first steps toward developing their operations. The project also informs companies about upcoming legislative changes that may affect their activities, such as the narrowing of energy options when moving away from fossil fuels, enabling businesses to respond to these changes at an early stage.
The project addresses three main themes:
- Energy transition and energy efficiency
- Circular economy, side streams, and material efficiency
- Carbon handprint
The project consists of seminars and company-specific meetings. At the seminar held in Kokemäki on 30 August 2022, the principles of the green transition and examples of practical implementations were presented. During the company meetings, a checklist is reviewed together with each business to help identify development needs within their operations. In addition, proposed actions are defined for the identified development areas.
Project implementation period:
1 April 2022 – 31 December 2024
Funding:
Rural Development Fund
